New Exhaust for the Z435i
Quality looks excellent. Ready to install it.
There is a vendor that is selling this exhaust at a significant discount if you are interested. Go to www.bavauto.com and search for: RM089009 0598CL RM089009 0598CR They are about $350 cheaper than everyone else. |

I've been going back and forth on a new exhaust. My biggest concern is in-cabin drone, like with the Eisenmann race exhaust. It would drive me crazy. I'd love to hear your impression about the Remus. How does it sound compared to stock and how does it sound in the cabin.

jparnes1 - you are right that Eisenmann RACE exhaust drones, but only in typical D mode when the car maintains really low rpms for mpg benefit. I just keep it in SD and sport, which virtually eliminates the issues at 2,500 rpm and above . . . mash the pedal a bit and it is glorious. since the Z has retired to our 3rd car, it sure is fun on the weekends

The top looks OK, about the same as stock. I think the fact that the tips are not cut at angle, makes the bottom look like it is sticking out farther, which it is.
Not really liking the sound .

I have the same exhaust in my 30i, Sounds a bit louder and more aggressive than stock. Doesn't really drone when cursing.

I believe the video of the white Remus set up is at a minimum 2nd CAT delete and probably primary. I have the exact Remus axle back I swapped on mine. It is a bit more volume when you are on it, a bit more gurgles on decel from 2-3.5K range. Driving it around there is no drone what so ever. Personally I was thinking about taking the 2nd CATs out when my wife drove it to the store for the first time and I heard it coming home a street away. Nice deep, mellow and gurgley noises. Yes, good price on them, bought mine from the Remus US direct and they obviously matched the price. Get it while you can bc once it's gone, they're gone apparently. Remus no longer mfg's the exhaust. I guess there aren't enough E89 owners wanting to mod their exhausts to justify production costs.
