How do I remove sticker on back window
Before taking delivery of my new 28i, some idiot at BMW put a sticker on the inside of my rear window. It says BMW Efficient Dynamics. Less emissions. More driving pleasure. It covers several rows of the defroster elements on the back window. Any suggestions on how to remove without screwing up the defroster?

I pealed mine off after the window was in the sun for sometime. I then used
Turtle wax label remover spray to eliminate the remaining glue, then cleaned with Windex. |

spray windex heavily on the sticker then use a razor blade at a 45* angle to get under the cornder of the sticker, "carefully" avoiding the defroster lines. using only your fingers gently pull the sticker off the window. wipe clean. Using a product like gooBgone wipe over the area to remove excess glue. use window cleaner to remove residue. That is how i do it but do be careful not to cut yourself.

I had the guys who usually do the delivery prep at my dealership do it. They pretty much just peeled it off (I am sure there was a lot more finesse to it than I am describing by the use of the word "peel").

Really? Aren't they the ones who put it on in the first place? I always tell them not to put that sticker on the window. I also tell them not to drill holes in the front bumper for a license plate. They always oblige.

No, don't think so. The sticker was applied to the inside. Maybe not at the factory, but maybe during import prep?

You should have ordered the 35i or the 35is because these versions do not come with the "Efficiency Dynamics" technique.

Yeah, they applied mine crooked. :rolleyes. Been meaning to look into getting rid of it. But since the top is down 99% of the time I'm driving it, I keep forgetting about it.
If I don't get around to it by the next maintenance service I might ask them to correct their poor workmanship by removing it. |
