BMW Factory Parts at 10% over cost?
Has anyone used http://bmwpartssource.com and had a good experience? Their prices
look good at first but their shipping is where they seem to make their money. I ordered a small part and an oil filter cartridge, total of $16 and less than 1Lb in weight. They charged me $13.75 to ship this one small package. When I asked for a reason why, they ignored me. On their web site, they lead you to believe they use USPS in the USA but unless it's coming 2 day air, I can't rationalize the $13.75 cost. Anyone else know about this place? I believe it is just the Internet Parts portion of http://www.faulknerbmw.com/ in Lancaster, PA For parts lookup, I always use http://www.realoem.com/bmw/ Thanks, PS With a few searches, I found another good site: http://www.bmwmercedesparts.com/part...?siteid=215771

If you live outside Maryland, I highly recommend Tischer. Their internet parts guys are excellent and they have a good website. No sales tax outside of MD and their shipping is reasonable. I tend to use Husker in Nebraska since I live in MD and sometimes the 6% sales tax makes enough difference to buy from Husker. I buy my oil and filters from my local dealer due to shipping costs. They usually provide about a 20% BMW CCA discount.

Who is Husker? Is that the parent company of the BMWMERCEDES link I posted above? Nevermind, I just found Randy's information on my registration Email. Husker Auto Group.

FYI, I saved close to 30% when I purchased the wind deflector for my Z from Husker.

I have my wind deflector on order at Husker and I am saving ~27% from list. I don't have it yet, it is on order and will take 1 1/2 weeks they say. That is OK as my car doesn't arrive for a little over two week I don't know yet what the shipping charges are going to be, but they say they are reasonable
