Removing Center Caps
Hi guys,
A friend from Thailand just sent me some new BMW center caps for my rims. I am dying to put them on, but I cant think of any way to get my old ones off, without taking all the rims completely off the car. If I go to a shop here they will charge me something like 50 bucks, just to take all the wheels off, so I can put the center caps on, and I think that is a bit too much money. Do you guys know a way of taking center caps of rims, without actually removing the rim from the car? |

It's not bad removing the rims, IF you have a jack. This is why I bought one. BMW is foolish for not putting one in the car, yeah, I know it has RFTs. I, for one, still want a jack.

Negative. You pop them out from the front and out the back of the wheel but the wheels have to be off the car. You can usuall pop them out with your hand.

I am not sure how it is on the Z but on my 135 I just use a 2" suction cup that I got from Target in the utility section. They come out surprisingly easy. Almost to the point where you wonder how they even stay in the wheels in the first place.
