POR15, Rust Bullet, Rust Converter Ultra - Anyone used these rust treatments?

Wondering if anyone used these products to coat rusted areas and how they hold up over time?

They all hold pretty good reviews, however i was hoping to get some of our e90post veterans' opinions.

I used PERMATEX® Rust Treatment on a few small areas of rust on a Miata door a few years ago. Worked well for me

After sanding, cleaning, and initial application

After a few coats of paint

Sold the car a year or two later so cannot report long term, goal here was just to stop migration.

My cousin builds custom structures for large boats or yachts down in Miami. He has always sworn by Skyco ospho.

I used POR-15 on the buggy chassis. So far so good.

I think they all work well though. It's all in the prep. Not sure the total use case you have. My latest was not a totally rusty surface.

I used a eastwood product on the frame of the truck a few years ago. It's holding up good as well. Again, quite a bit of prep work on the surface.

Ended up getting a bottle of Phosporic Acid 85% as it is main active ingredient in all of rust converting products that actualy work as per reviews.

Going to dilute that to about 45-50% Phosphoric acid and apply to rust to stop it and conver it to iron oxde. Then i will follow it with a rust coating such as POR15 or Rust bullet.

I've used Por 15 and RB. I prefer P15, it's thicker. Both work well. Both have similar quality prep products. I've used P15 on just about every brake rotor I've had / installed over the last 15 years, barrel and edges. Looks great. I've also done a couple trailers and other projects with both products. Anything regularly exposed to sunlight will need a top coat. Prep is key. Whatever it gets on it stays on. That's about it, P15 for the win.

por15. Used it many years ago and worked really well. Painted the frames of a few of my trucks. Wire brush and pressure washed. Then went back with por15 a little later. Good product.
