Damaged power steering motor
I've caused myself a big headache when changing my water pump..
I was too eager letting the jack down, it slipped off and crushed the plastic electronic part at the back of the power steering motor. The engine immediately stopped, but restarted fine. I've now replaced the PS motor but the power steering isnt working. I'm hoping its just one or two fuses that have blown. I've checked all of them under the glovebox, and cant find any that are blown. Is there another engine fusebox that I dont know about? Any other sugestions welcome |

Also worth pointing out that although the scan brought up all these errors, there arent any warning lights on the dashboard, and everything works except the power steering.
e.g. there is an error for the Parking brake, but it does work, SRS works etc. |

Something is blocking or not forwarding the can messages …could be as simple as a blown fuse to one of the ecus…is the DSC fuses ok?

Also, all the ecu's appear to work. It seems to be a communication issue. I think if a fuse was blown the ecu would not work at all.
E.g. Fuel pump module is working (the car runs). Handbrake works so the handbrake ecu must be working. |
