Please help with Combox!
Hi guys, I’m in the process of registering my car and I’m trying to have the dealer install this combox
I don’t have a windows laptop to run NCS and such so I suppose I’ll ask the guy to code it for me. I haven’t found specific answers through the search function so I beg for your help. My questions are: 1 - does the combox i liked to have all the necessary cables? If not which other ones will I need for full functionality? According to the vin I am able to install it (WBALM72090E164113). 2 - since most of the combox threads date way back, have better ways of coding it become available? 3 - I’m also having the USB plus aux installed, could anyone point at specific codes to enable all of this for reference? I’ve finally found the perfect car with only 30.000km on it plus comfort access, so native Bluetooth support is a must. Thank you. Love you all |

To properly code the combox to your car the coder will need an ICOM and know how to use it, if he doesn't then find someone who does. NCSEXPERT can only do some of the coding for this.
For some more (better) coding advice go to the top of the post page and then go into the 3 Series E9x section and look through the coding sections in there, loads of info there. Last edited by DavesZed; 02-04-2021 at 03:52 AM.. |

I coded my Combox without a ICOM, just used a BimmerGeeks cable. The coding was pretty simple with the ProTool app, took about 5 minutes.
Nothing has changed significantly so follow the existing DIY threads for it in the E90 section. |
