They're three year old sensors? Did they work fine when you had them in use?

I bought them brand new in Oct/Nov 2012, so they are 2.5 years old. They worked fine when I last used them on my 335i.

Are they plug and play or do they need some sort of resetting

After you get them installed on your wheels and get the wheels balanced, you have to go follow an easy process listed on your car's user manual to reset the tire pressure readers.

You don't need to get it "programmed", which the tire shops make it sound like it's a complicated procedure. It's a very simple resetting process that you can do yourself in literally 30 seconds.
