My new X5 has its M steering wheel. I like the thick soft leather on it, but dislike the fact its not heated. I also wish for the paddles, available on the X6 and X5M but not the X5.
Back in my Z4 35i, the steering wheel leather feels hard and dry. I need to use some leather treatment on it, but want it softened, not slicker. Any suggestions?

I can't speak for other models, but I have the M steering wheel in my 35is (which definitely feels much thicker than the 35i I test-drove), and it is most definitely heated. For me, this was part of the Z's "cold weather package" option offered here in the US.
