Nice! Post pictures after you have it installed. Let us know the difference in the exhaust note.

You are correct, the average break in time is roughly 1200 miles. Following the break-in the system will have a more pronounced tone and smoother sound.

The nice thing about the Eisenmann system for the E89 is that it is a bolt-on system from the down pipe-back. With that being said I still recommend customers to have the system professionally installed due to the amount of system being replaced. A professional shop can perform the install in 1-2 hours time. If you have any detailed questions please don't hesitate to pm me.

Below is a photo of the OEM rear valance trimmed to fit the Eisenmann quad system:

I have a few more detailed photos of the trimmed OEM rear valance that I would be more than happy to send to you. That way you can bring it to the shop and give them an idea of how the trimming has been performed in the past. The trimming of the valance should take the shop no more than 2 hours.

Alternatively we have sold a few 3d Design carbon rear diffusers and the quality and fitment is excellent. A couple pictures of the 3d Design product below:

///Carbon, your car looks amazing. The process for preparing the rear valance is essentially the same on your m-sport rear as the standard rear valance.

how does the carbon diffuser attach? does the old one come off and the new bolted up in it's place, or does it fit over the stock one once its been trimmed?

The 3d Design rear diffuser is fitted to the OEM bumper after the outlets have been modified. It is a nice addition if you are opposed to the look of a trimmed OEM valance.
