Can't Get "Convenient Loading" To Work
I've never been able to get this feature to work and have tried repeatedly over several months. Just like the manual says, I stand close to the car (right beside it), click the trunk open button on the remote, then quickly depress it again and hold it. The first click causes a whirring sound, and the second ones releases the trunk lid and also makes the same sound, but nothing else occurs.
I've researched previous threads on the subject and found nothing that helps with the situation I'm experiencing. Any suggestions other than take it to the dealer? Thanks for your help. Best regards, Ed |

Yes, we have "Comfort Access keyless entry" according to the sticker and that's what we ordered.
Speaking of the sticker, our dealer did something nice for us. It was never mounted, and they laminated it for us - it's in pristine condition. Best regards, Ed |

EandS - I have the same problem. I can't get the top to up and down using the remote, and I do have comfort access as well. For that matter, the remote won't even remotely unlock the trunk. I also have a weird radio/access glitch where the radio won't work until I lock and unlock the car with the remote. Comfort access (using just a touch of the door handle) does work, but almost every time I do this, the radio goes N/S (non-servicable). By stepping out of the car, locking it with the remote, waiting about 20 seconds, and then opening with the remote, the radio will work. I think a software reset is in order, and as soon as I can find some time, I'm off to the dealer to try to convince them I'm not making things up.

Thanks to cdmulder's response I got it to work!!!
His remark about using the remote to lower / raise the top reminded me I've never tried that function. So, I immediately went to the garage, lowered the car on the lift and had a go at it. It worked perfectly the first and subsequent times . That led me to experiment some more with the "Convenient Loading" and I discovered how to make that work. With my remote it takes two really quick clicks of the trunk button. And I do mean really quick successive clicks with the button held for a while on the second one before anything begins to happen. In my previous attempts I thought the 2nd click was done before one second elapsed as the manual indicates, but apparently what I was doing just wasn't fast enough. Thanks to all who offered comments. Conveniently loading yours, Ed |

My neighbours must be annoyed because I keep setting of the alarm too! I'll try the very fast double-click today to see what happens.

It works! After reading all of the tips above, re-reading the owners manual, and differentiating between regular open/close of the top and the convenient loading feature, I was able to use the remote to do them all. The only thing that still doesn't seem to work is getting the remote to open the trunk (top up or down). The radio is still goofy too. One battle at a time.
Many thanks to all. Cheers.

Yes - but good thinking. I hold it until the alarm goes off, and nothing happens (except the alarm). This is the behaviour for both of our remotes. At least both the trunk emblem and in-car button work. Hmmm....

I press it once and then immediately press it again and hold it, I can get convenience loading to work about half the time. It is kind of a pain when you are standing in a parking lot with a full shopping cart trying to get it to work and you keep setting off the alarm.

Ok, I don't have alarm in my Zed, so I forgot about that little undesired side effect. Hopefully there's someone out there who's got both alarm and a remote that opens the trunk.

I will try this tomorrow.
About the alarm it should turn of as soon you open the car with either remote or doorhandle when you have comfort access. Manual also say:Trunk may be opened with the remote even when alarm activated. After closing the trunk it will lock and theftprotect itself. Translated from the swedish manual. But the manual also says: In some countrys the trunk can only be opened with the remote if the car have first been unlocked. Also check your "personal profile" what door should be unlocked and more..... |

First, sorry for the long time it took me to test this, i have had my reasons.
Anyway the convenient "opening" works as described in the manual, both with the alarm on and off. But when i press and hold the "arrow" to close the roof again nothing happened. Had to "press" and "press and hold" on the arrow-button also to close the roof. But no problem with the alarm. Do not have the panic alarm on my car. |
