Front car protection long high speed drives

Wha, if anything, do you use to protect front from stones, bugs on mandatory long distance drives on Hwys?

Don't think bra's are made anymore, don't want to wrap the car, seen some people use blue painter's tape, but damn that's ugly!

but last week, I finally discovered the tiny dots on my panoramic sunroof glass were NOT water spots. I couldn't get rid of them, so I took magnifying glass and looked closely. Turned out that they were tiny chips, just like the ones on the windshield.

What's worse.... I also discovered tiny chips on the roof. (where there was no PPF)

I never follow other cars closely on freeways, but I guess that's not quite enough.

The 1980s were great! Sheepskin seat covers, bras, 250 hp muscle cars.

I literally just received a packs of sheepskin seat color samples that I requested in the mail last week. Planning to order a set soon. been using custom sheepskin seats since 1985.

I'm pretty sure the old black vinyl bra from my old Nissan 300Z is still somewhere in my basement. (not sure why I kept it because I sold the car more then 20 years ago)

People that care about this typically have PPF. Otherwise invest in some Dr. Colorchip or Langka touch up paint.

I can understand the blue painters tape/track tape driving a new car home from the PCD or other (https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1324892), but it is ugly -- one time use before your local PPF installer can protect it.

For bugs, if you car is not ceramic coating look into Blackfire Bug Blocker, Pro Bug Guard or Griots Bug Barricade. No experience with any of these products.

doesn't BMW sell their own touch-up paint kits?

I need to get one because I found really tiny rock chips on my roof.

Boy, I know this Z4 is probably AI, but I think my new Z would love to "identify as" as it! Mine is even white!

Anyone know if 2016 is same body style and would it fit 2023? I'm trying to contact them
From my flashback to a full mask bra on our Grand Am - what the bra can do to the paint underneath makes using some touch up paint for rocks and bugs the better choice IMHO

good point! back in the late 1980s, I had a full bra on a red car. It almost ruined the red paint on the hood.

PPF the car thats the only thing that will save from stone chips on front part of the car, windshield and roof.
Xpel 10mil is best. PFF is cheaper than a repaint. I PPF my daily and sports car

Ok, so I ordered this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F3DW4TQ...sin_title&th=1

Since I only plan on using for a long drive then removing, most reviews say it works well. Putting this here for others and future searches.

That’s actually the best advice. Here in the US, bigger trucks are notorious for missing mudflaps, which shoots rocks straight at following car’s windshield.

I do too, but a 9 hour trip at hwy speeds brings a lot of debris. My last car has quite a few chips doing the drive twice a year, every year.

Use to have an RV and you're always way behind. Once a tire came out of the opposite lane in the back of a pick up and missed us by inches. You never know.
