BMW 110 volt charger error
What does this mean with the orange bar and red battery and car icon? All I know is that it doesn't work, even after leaving unplugged for a prolonged period and plugging into the car. Perhaps not coincidental is that it was buried under snow.

Yes I have tried everything, and BMW was no help so I'm considering it dead. Replacements aren't that costly, such as this one which I already own and use when charging away from home.

The BMW Flexible Fast Charger generally costs around $500 to $600 for the full kit, which includes a 120V plug and a 240V (NEMA 14-50) adapter capable of Level 2 charging up to 9.6kW. Individual, specialized adapter cables for various industrial or domestic sockets range from approximately $100 to $150. The above is I believe the charger that came with my i4. The charger looks pretty solid/robust. Even so I'll not use it outside in the rain or snow. It will remain in the garage close to the outlet. |
