I saw a new X2 BMW yesterday. WTF?
I was driving in my X5 and saw a new BMW X2 that was probably a dealer car.
It had to be the worst looking BMW that I have ever seen. I am not sure what they did to it. It looks like a small Camaro and a Smart car. It is terrible. Some people complained about the i3 but many people love them, good build quality, drives well and hold up very well. The i3 has a big cult following. Maybe on some angles the X2 looks okay but I got this cheap small Chevy vibe from the rear end. They need to redo this one. Reminds me of the wunderkind Bob Lutz when he arrives at BMW from Opel. BMW is planning the launch of the new BMW 320i or the very first 3 series. The staff beg Bob to have it redesigned before launch. Bob goes to the CEO and gets it approved. The car is redesigned and the 3 series becomes one of the most successful cars in automotive history. https://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/x-se...iew.html#build |

If you think this X2 is ugly (which it kinda is IMO), you should see the previous gen X2, which is so much worse.

It looks way better than the old X2 so I guess progress is progress...

couldn't agree more, but then again, BMW also made this X5 once upon a time.

Call me a weirdo but I really like the look of the current generation X2/iX2. Easily the best looking out of current BMW SUVs. Then again I'm very much not a SUV guy, so perhaps that's why...

Not a fan. We always bought the boxier X3 because we have dogs. I did think some of the older X6’s were gorgeous but I never felt the sportier rear roof line really added anything. This new design still doesn’t do anything for me.

I'm not a fan of any X class. I'd wager the styling bar is pretty low for that series, it's all about cargo and ride height.

ALL of these "coupe style" SUV things look terrible. I don't see the point, if you want an SUV, get an actual SUV with decent cargo space in the back. I guess some people think it's a "style" upgrade as it's more car like...but it does not work like that on these things.

I wasn’t a fan at all of the 1st gen, but I love my X2. I went in to test drive an X1 and X3, but I kinda fell in love with the quirky lines of the X2. I also really like that it doesn’t look like a box on wheels. Yeah, it has less cargo space than the X1, but only barely (if you leave the rear seats up) but it’s significantly more than what I can put in the trunk of a sedan.
It’s more like a lifted car than a squished SUV. |

The best thing they did with the re-design of the X2 was remove those goofy roundels on the rear quarter panels. That was just weird. |

The M5 is too big, by all tradtional standards the M5 is an M7, and the M3 is the modern M5.
As for why no G-M3…. Have u actually looked at the M3??????????????????????????????????? Atleast i stayed with the brand so its a win for bmw to hold a nearly 40year continuous client and truly the X4MC is literally the best looking car in its generation, amazing as that may sound. It was the only choice for me to stay with the roundel for my daily driver.
