Front bumper removal with headlight washers
I am trying to remove the front bumper on my 2010 E89 Z4. I removed the 3 screws in each wheel well. I removed the screws to the under tray and I've removed the top screws under the rubber seal along the top of the bumper. I've also pulled out the bumper on each side where it clips to the fender.
According to multiple posts I think that is all that is need to remove bumper. Did I miss some bolts and if so where are they. I think the bumper is being held on by the headlight washers which I know I have according to the option sheet. How do I get bumper off with washers? I've searched and cannot find answer. I pulled washer covers off bumper but I cant see how washers are attached to bumper. Last edited by Vetracr; 12-06-2017 at 12:12 PM.. |

Looking again it appears the washers come off with the bumper so they are not what is hanging up the bumper. I can pull and rock the bumper but it will not come off. For reference the car only has 11K on odometer and has been garaged since new. I can't see any connections I've missed. What's the secret?

Maybe this helps (non-M Bumper):

so did you get it off?
I have had mine off a couple times and I can't think of what was hanging it up. |

Figured out how
I was able to remove front cover. My mistake was thinking it came off same as gen 1 Z4. The upper corners of the bumper covers are attached with 2 screws accessible after pulling back the inner fender liner. The outer part of the cover pulls out like the gen 1 but there is an inner attachment that holds it on.
