Opinions needed: Will this clutch hold Pure S2 power?
I am looking to upgrade my clutch. I will be getting tuned on my stock turbo for now, but eventually plan to move to pure s2. Just on pump gas and will upgrade the lpfp as well. I researched a ton and it seems that basically all of the pp and flywheel options for the e9x platform are a direct fit to the f30 n55. Difference being the flywheel bolt pattern.
Anyways, I found a southbend clutch, rated "conservatively" at 500tq, im assuming at the crank. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-south-be...t/k03099ssokt/ My other considerations so far have been the 335is clutch, but sort of crossing that off the list and Spec s3+ with Mfactory SMFW. It seems like with pure s2, ~500wtq is common for pump gas, but then I see people running the 335is clutch claiming no problems. Leading me to believe the southbend would also be fine. In a perfect world the spec seems the best, however they are the most hated clutch brand outside of the bmw / american muscle world I feel due to hit or miss quality. Any thoughts? Anybody running pure s2 with some miles on their clutch want to chime in with their setup? Thanks |

As long as you use a conservative map with less than 500 wtq you should be good.
If you dont, the clutch might work for some time but eventually it will fail
