I don't think this is going to be approved any time soon. Mercedes essentially creates it's own pavement markings or signs there they are not approved by the DOT. For example placing illuminated STOP sign at the intersection might be confusing for vehicle traveling opposite directions which don't have the STOP sign and don't need to stop, similarly creating a crosswalk for pedestrians might encourage crossing at undesired or unsafe locations. There are way too many legal issues with this system.

Fantastic, then we can get it coded to display helpful advice (see below) for the drivers around us (and also a image of male genitalia to let driver in front of us know how we view their driving skills):

All I took from that is that driving is going to get super annoying soon with all the unnecessary bullshit projected onto the road..
It's bad enough with the super bright "Glare-lights" that are being pushed out by every manufacturer in the past few years.
