Rhytmic humming sound low speed
Hi all,
Maybe normal but at low rpm and low speed, normally in first gear thus when taking of, the drivetrain makes an rhytmic mechanic fairly high pitched sound. It speeds up when I'm going faster and then basically becomes one continuous sound which is no longer noticable. It does not sound as if there is something catching the wheel or whatsoever, and is not a metally scraping sound either. It is a much more smooth mechanical sound. It sounds as if it could also be normal in fact, but it appears strange to me that such a smooth car like the Z4 would have a noticable rhytmic sound (at low speeds I could count the rhytm, if that makes any sense). Hence why I ask here. I'd drive another Z4 if to compare if there was one around.....but there isn't. I drive a 2010 23i manual btw, 40k km. |
