Key Fob eating batteries
Has anyone else had an issue where one of your fob's goes through batteries like candy?
My #1 fob will go through a new battery in about 1-2 months where I have never needed to change the battery in fob # 2. |

Check on whether the button is accidentally being pressed in your pocket (esp when you are sitting)? Try a battery from a different source? both of those were minor things that helped me out |

I have tried 3 different brands of batteries and all give about the same amount of life. When I do drive it to work the fob is on my desk, I don't keep keys in my pocket as it bothers me after a while. Even when I drive long distances I will take the key out of my pocket and put it in the dash. I will have the dealer check this fob since #2 works fine and it doesn't discharge batteries like fob #1. |
