We have the n55 with dual scroll in our 535iGT. There is a perceptible amount of turbo lag compared to our 2009 Z4 with the n54. I definitely prefer twin turbos.

I think the biggest LOL against the N55 is that it is less responsive to modifications. For a car kept stock I don't think it is a big issue
One key difference that we haven't touched on yet is resale. I suspect the 35is will hold its value better than the 35i on the used car market since there are fewer of them and it has the N54T engine, which is great for people who want to keep it factory stock. |

20mph roll I haven't tried. Like I said, the 60ft on the stock tires with the DCT is what I personally found problematic
