Z4 Indoor Car Cover
Does the BMW Z4 indoor cover for sale in bmwusa any good? I'm afraid to buy it and then scratch the paint with it. Here is the link:

I use an indoor car cover from BMW on my former e46 M3 then on the Z4 and now we use it on our 535is. You can be sure it will not scratch your paint, it is soft inside and has air breathe holes. BMW would not sell it to you if it would do any harm to your paint.

Thank you guys. It gives me a little peace of mind. Iparnes1 thanks for the sugestion, but I went to the covercraft website and the price were almost similar (for the Form-Fit and the Dustop) as the OEM. I just want an indoor cover because my Z4 been black it shows every dust specs. My E90 is silver and it kind of hide the dust specs so I don't have that problem.

I have the Z4-fitted BMW indoor car cover. Fits the car like a glove, the underside is a soft flannel, never had a scratch. Comes in it's own bag for storage, elastic still good after 3 winter storage sessions.

The external BMW cover does scratch the paintwork especially in windy conditions, it definitely shows up on Black paint and probably on darker colours.
Considering the price of it I was disappointed. Plus the general fit is not that good, as it blows off in light winds so no tie cord to tighten around the car. |

Yes Yeggman, indoor cover only. I actually ordered last Monday and received yesterday. I plan to try it tomorrow and use it during the week. I only drive the car during the weekends. Thanks for all the replies.

Kindly report back your opinion of the cover. My Sapphire Black Z also sits in the garage during the week, waiting for the early Sunday exercise session. You've got great roads in Virginia, I rode on many on my first BMW, a 1971 BMW R75/5 bike. Many years ago. |

I have had my indoor cover for my Z4 (Sapphire Black) for about four months now and I love it -- the way it looks when it's on, and how it keeps all the dust of the car. You won't regret it.
