Thanks very much, I thought it must be refraction. I'll try to snap a few pics of mine, before & after once the weather warms up a bit and the snow stops flying.

See my post #10 in this thread.

Yes, which means if you look at them from an extreme angle, the outer ring will look very dim. They are designed to be seen head on or at a narrow angle from head on. This will be fixed by the new LCI angel eyes, which use a different design.

It'll be better for sure. But I have no desire to spend $2k when a simple LED bulb is 90% as good :-P

Finally got around to installing my Lux Angels yesterday. They look great, pretty much what I expected to see after swap. MUCH BETTER than stock. Now looks virtually identical to my MY11 X3. Sorry, no pix. Only occurred to me after I had done the swap. I guess there's not much point anyway, given the myriad of pix already posted. Nice 'white' light, vs. dim amber.
As an aside, this job is definitely not for those with 'sausage' fingers.....it's tight in there.....took me about 10 minutes just to get one twisted back in correctly/tightly. Dave

hahaha. I had the hardest time on the first one too. I started doubting it would ever fit. Then it became much smoother on the subsequent ones as I learned to look at the position of the tabs and the slots and try to align them before sticking the bulb in.

just try this H8 LED (by accident), it is very simple to replace. Direct swap to H8 bulb without any wire cutting or extra piece of resistor. It is reversible polarity +/- on any direction, no error showed on BC
The brightness in daytime is very good on the inside ring, dim as usual on the outter ring with this connection you may not get full brightness out of this LED, since the car supply only 8-9V maximum to this H8 bulb in DRL mode and 6-7V in low beam mode follow this link to buy http://www.aliexpress.com/item/H8-18...665550222.html

Higher voltage and higher watts doesn't necessarily mean brighter, it just means it uses more "electricity/power". This is a common misconception and a technique many suppliers use to trick consumers into thinking their bulbs are brighter than they actually are. It is the amount of lumens it produces that dictates how bright it is, and this is not necessarily correlated to wattage/voltage. That is to say, a 5W bulb can create 350 lumens, and a 10W bulb only 150 lumens. So while the 10W bulb has double the wattage, it is actually very dim compared to the 5W with significantly higher lumens. Just throwing it out there for potential bulb buyers, don't be fooled by the wattage, look for the lumens. So while the bulbs you linked may be bright, I wouldn't base it on the V or W alone, I'd have to see a lumens rating before buying any bulbs. |

Based on light descriptions we can find on websites, we can only trust voltage and reviews of our great community to judge it I have found a new version on ebay that claims to be 32W (4x8W LED): http://www.ebay.com/itm/H8-32W-E60-E...664d8c&vxp=mtr Did anyone buy those and can tell us more about its brightness? |

Just saw the new LUX H8 v4 got released. Supposed to be brighter than v3 and has adjustable colors. Of course price went up to $249. I'm slightly intrigued.

Interesting. And, they claim these do not flicker upon start-up, which is a big + in my book.
Also, in regards to the price, they have always been $250 if I'm not mistaken. Just for the past month, they reduced the V3 to $230 (I'd imagine to get rid of inventory for the new V4s) |
