Woke up and got this....
So parking in new york city sucks as it is. I woke up this morning and looked at the front of my car. The bumper has 4, 1 inch nicks at the nose and a quarter inch of the lip chewed off. I am currently, leasing the car and have full coverage on the car. What do you guys recommend me doing? I know when i return the car at the end of the lease, they won't charge me anything for a quarter inch. Look at the pics below.

You use your oem paint with dr. paint chip. it's just a technique to get a smoother result. I've tried it and fond it pretty good, but not really easy to get a great result.

Sorry about that! For what it is worth, my last 3 series had hairline crack in the rear bumper from someone hitting the car and I was only charged $100 at lease return.
Don't worry about it, and put on the touch up as others suggested. |

Or an SUV with a trailer hitch.
My old integra, which was often street parked in NYC, had a square hole in the hood from when an SUV backed up over it. OP you are a brave soul for street parking your Z4! |

I'm reading the OEM does a great job filling up the hole but doesnt't match and the DCC kit seems to do job but on smaller ones. I'm pulling the trigger right now on DCC. |

I work in nyc, and i park it in the street in front of my shop. I walked out one day to see my front plate ripped off and those same knicks in practically the same spots. Mine was done by a pickup with a tow hitch. Im guessing the same applies for your damages.
At first, I was very pissed but now its just meh. I overlook the small things at this point. 2 years and 40k miles later, still have fun driving it. Recap: dont sweat it, man. It could have been WAY worse! |
