Hi Guys,
I just bought the Z4 today. I have been following this forum past couple of weeks. Can some one suggest some appearance mods for my car? |

So I'm new to this forum process and need some advice, suggestions, recommendations....after much thought and deliberation I decided to pull the trigger on a z4 35i. Drove it and loved it. I want a convertible and was tossing between this and a 650. I know completely different machines but in the end decided for a 2011 z4. Anything I need to be aware of or look out for? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Congrats and welcome to the Z4 family.
In addition to stubby antenna, tint and new wheels, maybe some painted reflectors and lower it a bit? And SmartTop, well worth it in my book. BMW

rfx45, the SmartTop, can be purchased from the dealer. This can open/close the top while the car is riding, correct? How much does this go for? Also, the front grill is factory BMW? Thanks for the info.

SmartTop is an aftermarket upgrade. Check this thread for more info on the module: http://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=356462
And yeah, the grill is an official BMW accessory: http://www.shopbmwusa.com/ProductDet...ProductId=2842

I notice your wheels are OEM Style 296, they are great wheels, however, are known to crack so keep an eye on them ... read some threads about the issue. Good Luck, Rolf The Z4 is a great car ... the fellow starring at your car is proof of that

Hi Guys,
By the way, the Grill is from BMW as other already told. Dealer charged me $160 for grills and install. Thanks for the suggestions. I will take the stubby antenna, painted reflectors and tint. I am not decided about the wheels though? Any suggestions for Black/Gun Metal 19" wheels? Which color will look better on Black z4? Also any suggestions on tires for smoother ride? Run-flats are too harsh for me. Thanks. |

I just got some new 18's on my car but I'm already considering switching to some 19's too. I got my eye on BBS RS-GT or LM-R in diamond black, I think it'll look great on the Z4. Some HRE P40S in flat black powder coat should look great as well.
