My biggest gripe with the Z4...
I recently traded in my C6 Corvette convertible for a Z4 35is. My biggest gripe is the relative lack of information and written material on the internet and elsewhere, and the scarcity of accessories. Having had two Corvettes prior to this, I was used to seeing tons of internet info as well as readily available accessories... I love reading all about cars. Why is the E89 such a red-headed stepchild of information, and cool aftermarket accessories?

In a word, volume. How many Vettes are out on the road vs. how many Z4's? Z4s are a low production car and aftermarket accessories will always be harder to come by,

No argument there. I guess I meant to say, "I wish there was more stuff out there..." I think I must have read all the reviews available on the internet in an hour...

I don't like that only one company makes a 1:24 scale diecast model of the e89. They have the market monopolized so they prcied it at over $100. As a result I have a diecast model of every car I've owned the past 10 years except the Z4. The empty spot on the shelf next to the 350Z Roadster, C6 Coupe and S2000 will ramain empty until they lower the price on the Z4 diecast model.

I just traded my 2009 C6 Corvette this month and ordered a new Z4. I have been looking for accessories as well and find it slim pickings. It's worth it to not have to struggle with the top on the Corvette coupe. Also, I'll bet I won't be getting a letter from the BMW service manager telling me to bring my new car in for it's 1,000 mile check which will cost me $180.00. I had 600 miles on the car at the time and didn't go in for the 1,000 mile check at my expense. I think I'll frame that letter from Chevrolet and hang it out in the garage. I did stop by my BMW dealer today to ask about swapping out my new wheels/tires for a different wheel and tire. New car take offs used to be done quite often. There aren't many options for me to do that and they didn't sound like they would be willing to swap anyway. I talked with parts department and was willing to pay something to get it donw. When I got my Corvette, the dealer had ordered it with the stock wheel and knew I wouldn't like it. We walked into the parts department and I selected chrome Z06 wheels which they swaapped out at no charge. It was all part of the final sale price. Maybe I'll just settle for a new cap.
