AC Schnitzer Z4 320d ("99d") Coming to Geneva

Among AC Schnitzer's debuts at the Geneva auto show next week will be the AC Schnitzer Z4 99d (a 320d Z4).

The 99d packs 140 kW / 190 hp and 420 Nm of torque under its hood, dashing from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.9 seconds and up to a top speed of 235 km/h. Its weight has been reduced by 230kg over the factory Z4. What's most impressive however, is the efficiency of this powerplant, with fuel consumption of just 3.8 L diesel per 100 km/h in the combined cycle and just 99.18 g/km CO2 emissions level.

AC Schnitzer will also be debuting their tuned 550i at Geneva.

its the way the world is turning... but oh dear... first a move to 4 cyls and front wheel drive, and now diesel Z4's... what are people thinking lol...

Very interesting....Compared with a 23/30i or 34i/is?
I guess the 4cyl diesel engine is a little lighter then the N52Bxx but still 230Kg is a serious weight reduction.

..the paintwork helps to hide the gaudy glue on bits. NON-Ac-S for me.

I don't know how many diesel TTs Audi sells, but this kind of engine doesn't fit at all the character of this kind of sport car

but then again, last year they said they dont intend on making an M1 :-)

If ever, I see them giving the Z4.. "M1 stuff."
