changed out angel eye bulbs for Halo Platinum White. Can you tell which side?
One side is changed, the other is stock. Can you see a difference?

I can't tell (but I am guessing passenger side is the new bulb), but I did notice your hood on the right side's seam has a bit more gap or higher than the left. unless you don't have the hood fully shut tight?

Well, It is noticeable to me but maybe I've had my eyes trained too much. The passenger side is definitely not the OEM bulb. You better make sure you shut both sides of the hood though. I have the Hoen on my car now. Although not as white as the MTEC, they are brighter... You should take a picture at night as well, I think the difference will be more obvious.

Ya, I didn't fully shut the hood when I backed her out of the garage to take the picture after installing one bulb.

Never used that brand but the difference is marginal at best. I'd go with a hyperwhite bulb like the Xenesis Tru Match or GP Thunder to really make a difference.

I had installed 1 bulb and then backed the car out of the garage to shoot the pic, but I didn't close the hood all the way and only one side latched. So your eyes weren't deceiving you, I just hadn't closed the hood all the way.

each Angel Eye ring is illuminated by an independent LED (at the 6 o'clock position, where you see it being brighter) so it is completely incompatible because the whole headlight housing design has changed... Our only option on the E89 is to change to super white H8 bulbs, or LED markers...

I wish they would have, I wouldn't be spending lots of time and money trying to find a replacement bulb that provides a white light matching the HID's....
