I agree. I like the wheels. Im equivocal on the front lip vs. the standard front. But the rest, I think is useless. The Z4 is very nicely styled out of the box and doesn't need this stuff.

They state:
"With a power of 360 HP and an unladen weight of 1485 kg, the open-top roadster from BMW accelerates from a standing start to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Even the most demanding driver will be delighted with this performance" An unmidified 35i already accelerates 0-60 in 4.8 sec according to the Road & Track road test. So 0-62 (100/km/h) must be 4.85 - 4.9 seconds. The realistic figure this additional 60 hp must be getting this figure down to, is 4.6 seconds or so. The 35i weighs 3483 lbs / 1580 kg. Where are they getting 3273 lbs /1485 kg from? Their 4 wheels can't possibly be a combined 210 lbs lighter than the factory wheels. |

Note they say "and an unladen weight of 1485 kg" - doesn't BMW spec the weight including a driver and half a tank of gas? May not account for 210 lbs, however.

Road & Track lists the Z4 curb weight as 3460 (off by 10 lbs from the BMW brochure, so probably a misprint) and a test weight of 3615, because they had a 155 lb driver test driving it. R & T ran a 4.8 second 0-60 with their 155 lb lightweight of a test driver. So what's slowing me down about .05 seconds is the extra 45 lbs of body weight I have on the test driver. Easy modification - eat less, exercise more. |

I like!
The fenders have a similar design to the very popular TENSION SV, based on the E63. The front spoiler is very ACS. Flow formed, perfectly scaled to the contours of the bonnet.
