Anyone ever jump on the lease cash or matching deals? As in they match up 3k of the down payment?

Need some expertise from this community of Z4 owners and lease experts:

I am considering a deal on a 2011 Z4 35i using this lease special. The car is equipped with nav, DCT, comfort, premium, sport, etc. Thus far, I have negotiated the following:

66,095 MSRP
63,945 Cap Cost
80% residual
0.00175 MF
TT&L = 189.05
925 acquisition fee
One time payment of $17,130

Does this sound like a good deal to anyone? If not, what other angles could I work?

The reason I chose the 'one time payment' option was to avoid Texas sales tax. Instead of paying $4000 in taxes on the entire vehicle price (Texas law), the dealer 'credits' the tax for me.

I originally went in to drive a 35is, but since they had none available I drove a 35i and was extremely impressed. It is a very fun car to drive.

Thanks! Here's a pic:

Absolutely terrible deal. You're paying everything up front? If the car gets stolen or totaled 1 hour after you leave the dealer, you're out of $17k. The point of leasing is to have no down payment.

If you're going to put this kind of money down, just go ahead and buy the car instead of leasing it.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks guys. Wouldn't insurance cover any losses though? Idk I'm definitely a lease n00b.

I'll look into used 2009's.

Read this http://www.leaseguide.com/sn/prepaid-lease.htm

Quote:
If your car should be stolen or destroyed in an accident, your insurance would pay only the current market value of the vehicle, not the total amount you have invested in your lease. You would stand to lose a large chunk of your up front cash payment, the same loss you would incur if you had paid cash for your car.

^you can get gap insurance though.

Still not a good deal regardless.

Take 8% off msrp to get invoice

So if your msrp is 66095 your invoice would be 60807.40. Youre paying 63945 thats 3138 over invoice, that SUCKS!

Tell them you want 500 or 1000 over invoice.

Thaks for the input. Keep in mind they are crediting me with $4000 in taxes with this offer, which essentially helps reduce the cap cost. I might have him run the numbers on $500 over invoice with no money down.

Anyone know of you can still take European delivery of these, or are we forced to wait for the 2012's.

Just got the quote for $500 over invoice:

"$500 over invoice is $61,900 and the payment on that number would be $787."

That's for $0 down and 24 months.

I'm looking at a 35i at my local dealership. Blue with premium and the upgraded wheel package. Stick shift. They are asking $599 zero down 24 mo with 10k. They seem to be having a hard time shifting it and have intimated they may come down to mid $500's if I'm interested. I'd prefer an auto to be honest but might consider it if it's a good deal
Does anybody have any thoughts on this deal? Good or not?

What is the MSRP? Does that include all taxes?

I bet they would let you have it for $500/mo +tax with $0 down. I'm not the expert though. Still trying to decide if I should take the plunge.

Find the residual and money factor. From here you can run the figures yourself. Be sure to add tax, license, acquisition and any fees. I did this last night and came up with $590 on a 55,000 Z4 plus fees as stated previously of $2400. I then compared this with the same kind of lease on a $46K 3 Series sedan. The Z4 was less per month. Think of it this way. You get a car costing almost 10K more for less than the same payment as a car with a sticker of $46. I'm sold and will pick mine up at the end of the week.

Just ordered mine.

I came up Tier 2 so payment went up a few bucks.

$549 per mo.
24 mo
10k per yr
$5490 due at signing(including $3850 MSDs)

Thats with taxes rolled into the payments. Ill prob pay the taxes up front to lower the payment. After that it should be:

$500/mo
$6555 at signing

Dealers usually get them within 2-3 days into the month.

I'm interested in this as well. I placed my order in May but the dealer said if the rates go any lower I would be able to take advantage of it.

New offers are posted, looks the same as May.

2011 Z4 sdrive30i is 79% residual for 24 month lease at 12,000 miles/year. MF is .00145.

No options get you a payment around $400/mo with nothing out of pocket at signing but first month.
