Mine was a "demo" used by the female Business Manager (1000km) so I guess it's relieved at being driven by me now .... I'll hide under my desk now to avoid the stinging replies...

Depends if your comparing the 35i vs 35is

Here's the web site:

http://www.dinancars.com/store/home.php?cat=829

For the 35i Stage II gives you 78 More Horsepower and 116 More lb-ft of Torque for a total of 384 hp and 421 tq.

Google Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. In the US and under that law, warranties cannot be 'voided.' BMW can refuse to honor a repair claim if the repair is necessitated by an unauthorized mod, but the warranty is still good.

In the case of Dinan, it covers its products for the same time and mileage limits as BMW; if the Dinan product fails and BMW refuses to cover the repair, Dinan will, up to these limits. By all accounts, this is an honest situation in which I'm aware of no one getting screwed. Frankly, am also not aware of any failures in the N54 with the Dinan flash either.

Finally, is not 'chipped' - is reprogrammed in the ECU, Dinan's firmware replacing BMW's.

When I see these #s, I start to , esp when ppl says there is no more lag and quick response.

I guess OP saying there is no more whine noise, that is something totally diff from the whine from the LPFP?

2. 3 or 4 second cranks on about 5 occasions but never twice in succession. Seems to correlate with sitting awhile.
What exactly does this mean? Thx.

What exactly does this mean? Thx.

It means that on occasion the engine rolls over a couple extra times before firing. Then starts fine.

Have been through an HPFP drill in my wife's 535i. If the HPFP craps out, you will have no doubt: long, rough cranks, limping start, Reduced Power light comes on immediately.

While I'm sure the Mona Lisa woudl be sexier as a blonde, I'm loathe to change her.

Same goes with the Z... for me anyway.

Try the search function on here. !!!

I have the Dinan Stage II, love it. Bought it because it's the only remap that has WARRANTY. Also has free software upgrades for whenever BMW updates their stuff. (much needed). Car sounds better, runs better and goes like a scared rabbit.

I think I've asked before, but...

Anyone here has Dinan stage II or ESS stage II with a manual transmission?

Update: with an additional 3000 miles on the Dinan Stage II software, mileage is creeping up and now is at 24.5 mpg. That's cumulative with the computer never reset, mostly urban, suburban, some open road, few trips. And yes, I do drive like I just stole it.
