Optional Form of DRL?
Has anyone any idea if it's at all possible to illuminate behind these 'strips' with LEDs in the same circuit as the other DRLs?
Would be rather interesting! |

Absolutely!
I believe that a lot of car manufactures' fronts actually look like faces, and IMHO, BMW uses what I call the "Pissed Off" look. Here's a thread I started on that topic x6 M Looks a Little Pis*ed Off http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=248836. Last edited by teagueAMX; 02-14-2010 at 10:17 AM.. |

I used to have a 6 series cabrio and my friends have told me that it looked sad in the front. The eyes seemed droopy with little diamond like eyebrows for class. But the ride was so smooth that I occasionally miss it. It is a big car and the small ones like the Z4 are more fun and toss-able in the twisty switchbacks. Now the new Z4 has a pissed-off look.

Funny you say that because they people think my new Z4 is like transformer when they see the top movement.

A couple of 6 year olds saw me lowering the top the other day and they really thought I owned a transformer! especially when I showed them the nav and the voice control....

I don't know, it might be cool. The BMW M6 and Ferrari 458 have cool led brows
The problem may be, is that you need a special recess in the plastic for the leds or other kinds of lights to sit. My guess, and that's all it is because I don't know, is that the headlamp housing doesn't have the recesses so someone would have to make a custom one to make that work. Like I said, just a guess. FWIW My 2 cents . Last edited by teagueAMX; 02-15-2010 at 11:37 AM.. |
