White Corona Rings
This article describes the new 5 series as having white corona rings.
http://www.bmwblog.com/2009/04/24/20...-corona-rings/ On the whatcar.com website, within the last few days they showed the new Z4 to a few members of the public: http://www.whatcar.com/popups/video_...mv%20&vtype=WM ... at 1:47 of the video it clearly shows white corona rings. These look totally fabulous - really bright white like the LED's that Audi's have. Can anyone confirm if this is indeed a new technology, and will the new Z4 have this? See picture below: UPDATE: It looks like maybe the UK cars don't have the 3 orange LED's at the side of the headlights.

Here is how the headlights looked at launch. It does look like the UK aren't getting the 3 orange LED's at the side

I know! Work at a BMW dealership, but I hope it is white. Most pictures I have seen looks like it is yellow.

During my purchasing process I had a couple of question which my dealer forwarded to the head of product marketing of BMW Switzerland. Some of them - as we know now - where answered wrongly. That's how it is with new models - the information does not flow properly before the launch. |

I believe that some UK dealers have now taken delivery of their demonstrators, tho I guess they won't be allowed out on the road till 9th May.
