Injector Questions (seals and index compatibility)
I am using refurbished injectors.
1) Wondering, is there an easy way to compress the o-ring seals? I have ruined one injector since I was not patient enough and forced the compression. For example, is there a lubricant I can use on the seals, perhaps a recommended brand of seal or a recommended tool? 2) For injector compatibility, can I put index 12 injectors in one bank (i.e., 3 cylinders) and use the last 3 injectors, index 6 to 8, in the other bank? I need to get better at the searches on this forum, but did not see the answers when I initially looked. Thanks! Z4 2011 35is (love it!) |

You can have seperate index numbers on each bank as long as they are all the same within the bank.. Obviously got to code the fuel flow per injector too!

Perfect! Thanks for the excellent information. I look forward to trying the new tool and putting some index 12 injectors in one of the banks. A great cost savings!
