Is ESS the only tune that increases engine responsiveness on N54 Z4s with DCT?
And by engine responsiveness I do not mean throttle re-mapping (like normal/sport/sport+), or increased power / turbo-lag reduction, but simply engine tuning that makes the engine more responsive (and more difficult to drive smoothly).
I see that COBB has a linear throttle option, but again I am not asking about throttle re-mapping. |

If you have COBB or MHD, we remap for both Sport On/Off . There are only two mapping table on the E89. Sport+ is the same mapping as Sport with the exception DSC control is semi disabled to allow more wheel spin and more drift

Interesting, although here I am not really interested in remapping the throttle response. I believe the ESS tunes, both for N54 and N55, do not remap the default throttle response. Yet you still get a more responsive/sensitive engine. Perhaps somewhat similar to what the power button does on an E9x M3. Im not sure. Just havnt heard of any other tunes offering this particular feature.
