Shamwows may be slightly abrasive, you may want to look into something a bit softer to use. If you keep your car waxed well, drying it should really be easy as water won't really stay on the car. As far as cleaning products, I use appropriate mothers or meguires products. I try not to go into machines as they seem to be prone to scratches in the clear coat, especially anything that actually touches your car. Some use rainx on the windows, but I don't use anything special on the outside. On the inside I picked up some random car window cleaner that seems to do the trick. I'm still looking for something to clean the vinyl/plastic interior parts well. I used some armorall (I cant spell) and while it cleaned it, it left the vinyl a darker color that has barely faded in 6 months on the bottoms of the doors. |

As for preventing the brake dust, I found that waxing the rims really helps. This year I will try coating them with something like opti-coat or CQuartz and see how effective it is. |

I dunno what 50 is in Celsius but its only like 4 degrees here and still snow along the side of my driveway
EDIT: ok 50 is about 10 for me. Yeah i'd be out washing if it was 50 here but it's about 39 here. This time last march it was like 20 degrees...golf season had almost started. Last edited by jtuds; 03-09-2013 at 01:00 PM.. |

+1 on invisible glass for windows.
Definitely MF towels for drying. I also use the california blade on very wet surfaces. |

Seriously though... use a microfiber waffle towel to dry your car. I got this one and it works well. http://www.amazon.com/Viking-Microfi...r+waffle+weave |
