F30/F31 Black Gloss Fogs Cover and Central grille

Hi!

I just want to share my latest mod. For some time I have not been satisfied with the look of the matte plastic fog covers and the lower central grille not matching the black gloss grill (kidneys). Now I found an after market set with Black Gloss Fog covers and lower central grill and here is the result. The air inlets is still matte black but I will try to make them as glossy as I can with ceramic coating or something. Also note that the central grille did not align as good as original with the air inlets. You can see a gap on the pictures . It is more gap on the right side compared to the left.

See pics below (1st pic is before).

Oh, I have questions.

I have the same car in an F33, same color.

Where did you find the gloss black pieces (not the kidney)?

You had to remove the bumper to replace these, or did you just prefer to remove the bumper for it? Do you need to remove the bumper to replace the kidneys? Not sure I'm up for that.

Yes you must remove the bumper. But it was not that hard if you study some youtube videos. I managed to do it all by myself without scratching anything. I recommend using protecting tape at the corners close to the headlights and on the headlights and then a big soft blanket on the ground.
