2015 435i xdrive M performance Exhaust

Does anyone know if the chrome tips from an m performance exhaust are removable or do they need to be cut off to put replacements?

They should be removeable, did you go look at them? You may have to cut off an alignment tab if its like the stock exhaust, depending on what type of aftermarket tips you want.

Removable. MP exhaust has clamp-on vs. stock slip-on tips with a stud on the pipe. The MP tip choices were chrome or carbon fiber (the pipe ends are also different diameter than stock exhaust pipe.).

There is a total trick to it. The M Performance Exhaust chrome tips have what looks like a bolt on the bottom. But it will never turn because it is not functional. If you get directly underneath that bolt and look straight up, you will see a small set screw in the middle of the bolt. I can’t remember if it takes an Allen wrench or a torx. Remove the set screw. It’s holding the chrome tips on.

Thanks guys I’ll take a look. I did notice there were 2 screw holes at the bottom but I’ve heard that those are not screws and that the tips need to be cut off if wanted to be replaced.
