New App, Uneven Ground

I noticed this new app today, uneven ground. I wonder if it will detect pot holes?

Interesting. I wonder if it is collecting data from other BMWs to showcase this.

I also wonder if this one is offered on MY2020 or limited to MY2021+

How accurate do you find the app?

This app is on my 2020, Nov. 2020 software update. I am not really sure of the accuracy, as it just popped up today.

It showed up on my hud once so far: at a rough railroad crossing. It warns you "uneven ground" counting down from .25 miles to 200 feet, then no feet.

It has appeared now both on my 2019 X5 and 2021 M550. I have not gotten the alert yet, even though we have ample “uneven ground” here in Upstate New York.

Even if I could get this, it would be going off all the time, the roads here in the U.K. are deteriorating with many pot holes. In fact getting a tyre replaced on Saturday as it's damaged due to a pothole. Dealer states they are seeing much more of this now and for both run flat and normal tyres

i updated my idrive when the system prompt there is an update and also noticed this. my car doesn't have the hud, but still shows in the main dash. i find it kinda funny tho because when it showed the warning it was just fresh vs old pavement coming up. it wasn't uneven at all.
