someone help me with specs
so finally, im looking to throw some 19 inch TSW Silverstone rims on my car this summer, but I'm lost when it comes to rim specs cause I've never purchased rims!
I noticed some versions of the rim have a deeper lip, and thats what im going for.. but I have no idea how to ask for that without sounding like a complete potato and I dont want to get screwed around. its also looking like I may have to order them online to save some cash too so any help is appreciated. https://www.tsw.com/alloy_wheels_silverstone.php |

Start with a google search to understand how wheels are spec'd - width, offset (what it means to be + or -), etc. Plenty of explanations and diagrams out there. Once you understand the lingo, then read up on your car's OEM wheel specs. Once you know that, you can decide how you want your new wheels to be - wider? more or less offset? etc. Once you have an idea of that, search the forums for examples of people running the same specs or similar to confirm fitment. If at that point you are still unsure and want to confirm fitment, then ask.

19x8 +35 with 235/40/19 front, 19x9.5 +45 with 265/35/19 rear
the Silverstones are heavy, if you can afford it i suggest TSW Avalon, which is rotary forged and lighter. 19x8.5 +35 front, 19x9.5 +39 rear. same tire combo for your x-drive. . Last edited by alohasurftoad; 05-25-2021 at 08:08 PM.. |
