I don't know if I should believe these clowns after the mars/moon thing.

Some drastic dressing these past few. Outside daily started both days with a 7 year old Optima red top. Yesterday it must have been the wind chill giving my car the sputters at first.
Today at -22 no sweat starting.
Lowered on springs and Bilsteins is just like a go cart in this weather.

It's soooo much easier to deal with the heat than it is with the cold. First of all even in the hottest damn day in FL I can still go outside in my tshirt and shorts and if I'm out there too long or start doing stuff I may break a sweat. If I do that on Mars I die. Shit I could die just walking to my car on Mars unless I'm suited up.

Other options when its hot are staying inside (similar to Mars), going to the beach or pool. Doing whatever you normally do when it's not super hot just make sure to have extra water and a dry shirt to change into after you get drenched in sweat. Now given this is only like 4-6 months out of the year. The rest of the time the weather is perfect.
I'm somewhat the opposite. I can't stand the heat. Anything above ~80F, especially if it's humid, is pure misery for me. I spent a summer at Johnson Space Center and suffered the entire time. People there would think nothing of eating out on the deck of a restaurant even though it was in the mid-90's and humid as a sauna. I would be sitting there with sweat literally dripping off my chin. I'm happiest when the temps are in the 60-70F range.
No doubt I'm sure everyone would prefer 60-70 all the time. I would never sit outside in the summer and I've lived in warm areas my whole life. I'm sure there's a couple places in the country that may have 60-70 year round but for most people the choice is half a year of -20 or 98 with 99% humidity.

Given that choice I'll take the heat!

I would have bailed too. I miss taking public transportation to NYC said no one - EVER!

Long ago and far away when I worked in the city, winter really sucked. Nothing worse than dealing with the elements. I remember a freak snow storm that came out of nowhere in April. Went to work in the morning and it was a beautiful, clear day. Left work early because of the weather. Here I am in a skirt and high heels, got off the train and the snow was halfway up my leg.

NYC is brutal in winter. I spent a February there and the wind would rip through anything you were wearing. Some of the streets are just man-made canyons that funnel the wind to near gale force.

Was in the upper 30's here today and it felt balmy compare to the past few days.

Glacier Bay seems like an appropriate name for that toilet.

Nice here today as well. Going out for a 25 mile ride in the fresh air in a hour or so.

78F in D.C. today. Was -10 last week. We've been enjoying mild temps, but Thursday it's supposed to go from 58F at noon to 28F by 8PM. Crazy.

Wish I could get a couple days where I don't need to run AC or heat, had to pull out my cool weather jacket too.

You're either in the USA and that sounds to me still a little cold for tank tops...

... or you're somewhere in the southern hemisphere or in the tropics; and that's perfect beer-drinking weather

(that said, 40° is getting close to 'stay indoors; it's too bloody hot' weather)

Thunderstorms in February in Illinois. Bizarre. (Although they did have nasty tornadoes in Missouri in January a few years ago.)

Lol that's here in Ohio. I guess you didn't get the joke with the other week being -10-15° and windchills-30° ...40° temps made it feel like summer

Hard frost this morning when I left before sunrise, wipers scraping the ice.

Good thing I saved that bucket of hot water from the shower!!!

I gave the chickens an extra scoop of corn last night, hope they made it.
