Why no Blue w/ Black interior

I’ve been in the hunt for a nice z4 35is , have come across a few beautiful blue ones but they all have a light cream sort of color interior. Why didn’t BMW put black interiors in those cars??? I know seat covers or replacement seats are easy to source, but changing all the other leather panels & bits seems like that would be a real pain.

National markets tended to choose and prefer certain colour / trim options..

If you download some old NA Z4 brochures they will show what combos were available in your market…

We were on the North Coast 500..a 500 mile trip round the northern most part of Scotland…it’s a driver’s bucket list trip…lots of very heavy artillery on that route..

My 2011 Deep Sea Blue 35is' interior isn't black, but it sure isn't light cream. I don't have the spec sheet handy, but orange(ish) saddle leather is probably the best way to describe it. Makes a nice combination, the former owner was meticulous about care and based on the mileage and almost perfect condition of the driver's seat I doubt he owned a pair of jeans.

ETA: Got curious, so I pulled the Monroney out of the safe. Walnut is the interior color.

Spectre- with that combo, now you know why you don't see blue and black. Gorgeous.

My 2012 E89 35is is Deep Sea Blue Metallic with black interior. Would not have it any other way. Every car I ever had with a light leather interior stained badly.
