Catted Downpipe options for N54 z4 35i

Does anyone have experience with what N54 catted Downpipes work with our z4 E89 sdrive35i? Situation arose where my cat on bank 1 failed and needs replaced. They are expensive so if I’m going to replace I might as well go aftermarket.

From what I found on the internet, Etek makes a Downpipe specifically for e89 but they are expensive.

I’m wondering if VRSF 3" Stainless Steel Catted Downpipes fit since they are half the cost.

Honestly I tried searching the bimmer forum but it kept pulling up all the models and I’m wondering for E89 specifically. So your help here is appreciated!!

Most downpipe options that fit E90 cars don't fit E89s..

You need to explicitly check to insure they will fit!

I got a set from an E90, to make it work the exhaust shop had to cut the flanges off the bottom part that connects to the exhaust and weld new flanges at the correct angle else it definitely doesn't fit.

with regards to after market downpipes I don't like them, I had them for a while on my previous E89 and they ruined the engine mount because they simply sit to close to the thing! They get extremely hot and over time they cook the engine mount. Instead what I did was got myself the stock set of E90 downpipes, gutted them and fitted those instead, the power difference was pretty much non existent but now O2 sensors are a breeze to get in and out from the top with a shorty spanner and there are no issues with the engine mount getting cooked.
