Just my two cents and I don't want to come off as a dick, but there were a few things in the Fast and Furious franchise that were a bit of a stretch....just sayin'.

You mean there aren't 12 gear transmissions in muscle cars? JK

Oh I know I agree.

It was probably the biggest case in those movies where they gave you a piece of information and then the next scene was a conflicting piece of information.

Worst example in movies was the second Transformers movie. We must find a old Decepticon to help us find the map, matrix, whatever. Next scene, they freak out when they find him. IT'S A DECEPTICON!

Brought the red dot sight (only of course) from the Benelli to my annual eye exam today. Since developing an astigmatism years ago I like to confirm how different lenses impact the crispness of the dot. Digging these out from the safe definitely inspires an range session! 🤔

Ever try concealing your bigger 1911s?

My g/f ordered me a Staccato P for my upcoming 45th birthday (but in 9mm) and I’m wondering if I can conceal it at all. I don’t do open carry unless I’m working.

You know what, with age my eyes become more and more farsight and I can't shoot any longer a G36 with the stock installed red dot within the top handle section, the dot is too close and I don't see it w/o glasses
For the SCAR I use meanwhile an EOTECH 553 in combination with a flipable 3x magnifier, thats fine.

Yes, 1911s conceal nicely.

Crossbreed holsters are my favorite for the job.

I might be subject to different legal requirements than you, but I conceal mine in this all the time.

Only downside is it is a little difficult to access quickly.

I also use Sparks for my 1911. I bought the Axiom for my Colt Series 70 Govt, it was a long wait to get it(15 wks) but certainly worth it. Beautiful craftsmanship and design which makes the large, heavy Colt feel lighter then it is and tucks in better for great concealment.

I am a pretty small dude and I CCW a 1911 without issue. I tried concealed carry with a full length Colt 1911, but that barrel length just made it awkward when sitting down, as it would dig into my thigh.

I now conceal carry a Sig Sauer 1911 Ultra Compact. Full size frame, much shorter barrel and a very slight reduction in grip length. It works fine.

Wow...I don't CCW, but those sound like very large objects to choose to carry around concealed. I assumed that if/when I do CCW, it would likely be a VP9SK, or smaller, just for comfort sake.

Discomfort for me comes from the thickness of the gun which 1911 doesn't have well thinner than a glock or similar brick.

I have the SIG Ultra TT in .45 that I have no issues concealing. It's a nice pistol (it was my 40th bday present from my gf). She wanted to go all out for my 45th so she got me the Staccato P. It's not exactly a full-size but it's not compact either.

My EDC is my old gen3 Glock 32. It's been my edc for almost 15 years.

^This. The 1911 frame is incredibly thin.

I dig those STI 2011s, but NJ banned firearms from holding any more than 10 rounds so I'm not so inspired to invest in a double stack 1911. I really would dig a Staccatto C for CCW if I could even carry in NJ, but I kind of subscribe to the theory of a inexpensive EDC pistol. It's kind of a moot point for me right now, but these are my thoughts.
