N54 warranty information

How many N54 owners have had any luck getting BMW to extend the warranties for common N54 problems on their later model cars 2011-2016?

To my knowledge our waste gates and injectors were really never upgraded yet BMW does not officially warranty our units like the 2007-20010 MYs. That's the period covered in the lawsuit.

I've read some of the later model M1s where getting the injectors warranty extended but that's it.

Seems to me, we should all be getting the 80,000 mile 8 year warranty for the Turbos.

Can we share some information and see if we can push BMW to be honest.

For the record, my turbos still sound ok but I have replaced injectors on my own. Just don't like the idea that we are being left out of the extended coverage because we are small community and have less "clout".

I had my turbos replaced on my 2009 Z4 35i back in 2017. I spoke to BMW corporate and they informed me 8 year warranty starts from delivery date (not production date) and the work was done right before it expired (May 2009 - April 2017).

I took the documentation (service bulletin: SI B01 02 12) to a local dealer and after a simple inspection and testing, they replaced the turbos at no charge. The work took a week and was really simple process.

Just realized you are referring to 2011+ cars, I really should read more carefully.

Hpfp was resolved in 2012 so maybe you're covered in the 10 year/120k warranty for that. There's also an extended warranty on the frm module for some vin-specific 2010-14 Z4s. That's it AFAIK. 1 of my injectors (2012 35i) went bad and that was on me. Had to replace all 3 in the bank but diy'd it so it wasn't stupid expensive.
