I'd like to see a true Coupe'. ///M. Interlagos Blue.
I'm guessing the vids were taken in the south of France or Monaco.

but this is just the best compromise that BMW could have done. I will still miss the ///M Coupe. Maybe they will surprise us? |

Video looks like it was shot in the Italian main island of Sardinia (Sardegna). You can see in one of the first pictures a big boat with written "Cagliari" which is the main city there and main seaport too.
Also the wild vegetation of that narrow street in the video suggests it is Sardinia indeed. I also recognize the road signs to match exactly the ones on our streets. By the way.. i love this car! Greetings from Roma! Last edited by karlenstein; 12-15-2008 at 04:03 PM.. |

I really like the new Z4, both the interior and exterior look quite amazing. The exterior is a great example of flame surfacing done right, while I'm afraid that the current Z4 is the opposite.
The interior of the Z4 is elegant and rich. The current one is kind of barren. I guess the new model finally brings out the luxury in BMW, and hopefully the sportiness remains - which is likely.

The E89 Z4 Roadster is a replacement for the E85 and yes if you look at both models they have similar body lines and it in no way replace the E86 Z4 Coupé.

Not quite. The current Z4M has 8 cubic feet (roughly) and the new one has 11 top up and I think something like 4.6 top down. So, top down is somewhat limited. This is the only thing that I would need to assess to see if this is a practical car to use for a weekend get away and fit my duffel bag as well as my wife's weekender. If it is good I might even consider going from a Z4M and a 328 to only one car....I don't really drive either of the current cars much and this might kill two birds with one stone.

Nice looking car but is it confirmed there is a true Coupe coming?
Since this car will not get you on the track for BMW CCA high performance driving events, autoX will be ok though. I think its a safe design move from the current Z4. I may seem biased for having a z4 Coupe but I never liked the Z4 as a roadster, even the M. I liked the Z3 M roadster much more for its looks than the Z4. This new car will finaly have the current electronics but the 3 and 5 will move ahead and make the Z4 electronics outdated again eventually. I hate the lack of real E-brake and no oil dipstick. Still on the fence about keeping the M Coupe when lease is up in Oct 09. |

That "expression of joy" video gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling. BMW's advertising never ceases to amaze me. That car just looks sick in deep sea blue.

Trouble viewing the last two vids
What am I missing-the first three videos were there, but the Joy and the other one show as blank spaces.
