Ugly cars, such as Japanese sports cars from the 90s and others

Boy the A80 hasn't aged well in the looks department. The rear 3/4 in particular looks terrible.

It was always an ugly car. Maybe not 3000GT ugly, but never good. The wheels are naff, lug covers are always ugly. The front looked like it was designed by a different team than the back and they never talked. And the wing, oh that wing.

But they were fast, especially the single turbo conversions. Not sure what will save this one.

To be fair, this was the bubble car era. To not be fair, Honda was building the NSX at the same time which has aged like a fine wine.

The NSX and FD RX7 both still look great. The Z, Supra and 3k all look pretty dated.

Really, nsx is pretty ugly stock. The good looking ones have nice clean body kits on them. All the mkiv needs is rims and drop an it'll shame most modern cars in the looks department. Though i am slightly bias.

Seriously? It isn't bad at all. Not my style, but hardly Aztek equal. No doubt you think this is ugly too.

Yes, the California is ugly. Outside of a Mondial or 308GT4, Ferrari has rarely missed that badly. I realize that's a Portofino, but the ugly California bits still stand out. And what's the dumb black sill showing?

I actually liked the design of the Sky and Solstice. Just not the weight and donor car parts.

I'd take the Opel GT in your last Sky photo over any of them though.

Beautiful. The NSX is gorgeous in stock form. I agree with everything else you said though. But yeah, the NSX part...you're higher than giraffes ass.

At least you have some taste. My Opel GT:

One of ten I have owned.

That one has seen much better days. I had a 1969 1.9 Red Opel GT that I bought new as a college graduation gift to myself. Loved it!! It was a really fun little car.

Never said the Supra is bad looking. I think the rear of the car looks great but the front hasn't aged nearly as well. It's no Aztek, by any stretch. That being said, it does look like a pretty normal vehicle to the untrained eye. The NSX, by comparison, looks like a supercar. I don't see them out and about very much anymore but I parked next to one a few weeks ago and couldn't believe how low to the ground it was. Didn't appear to be lowered either.

Cars are not in the same class so hard to compare, NSX was pitched as a Japanese Ferrari and the Supra was a GT car... In
its day the Supra was a semi common car but the NSX has always been a high end car you didnt see often.

The Acura NSX still looks beautiful after all these years. There's nothing like it on the road. I want one in my garage.

It was a barn find. No real rust, the right door was bashed in, but it started and ran having sat for 10 years.

My buddies sisters boyfriend had one back in the early 70's and I liked it back then. I'm just curios, they really underpowered(For my tastes). As anyone tried to shoehorn a small block Chevy or similar in one, ala AC Ace?

The popular mod was to put a Buick v-6 or 215 V-8.

Includes basic mounting notes and photos of V-6 and V-8's installed in Opel GT's, including: 1978 Ford 2.8 liter V-6, Chevy 3.3 liter V-6, Chevy 262ci 4.3 liter V-6, 1984 Chevy 2.8 liter V-6, 1982-1984 Chevy S-10 2.8 liter V-6, Buick 215ci V-8, Chevy 283ci V-8, Chevy 305ci V-8, and different examples of Chevy 350ci short-block V-8's.

The 1.1 engine was. The 1.9 would do pretty good with a Webber carb. I hit 130mph on mine a few times. Not that one, this one:

I've had ten of them.
