Standard 12 mile ride. Nice day - sunny, mid-60s and clear sky with some wind. Waited until after lunch when the day was warmer. 39 degrees this morning is not my cuppa.

Standard 12 mile ride yesterday. Taking advantage of the few remaining warm days left this season.

Sunny, mid-60s and a strong headwind for 25% of an almost square route. Not much traffic on the trail, which was nice.

Was going to go for a ride today in between outside house repairs but in pumping up tyres a faulty air pump took the air out of the front one
Have another one but buried in the garage somewhere.

12 mile standard ride. Chilly with temp in the mid 50s. I added a GTX windbreaker over my normal sweater and it worked perfectly. I am not a fan of being too cold, and the windbreaker did great. Unzipped the jacket and sweater halfway through the ride and it was really enjoyable. I wear finger-less gloves when riding and was concerned my fingers would be cold, but it was manageable.

Main bike is at another place so used the old steel framed Rampage bike with mud plugger tyres, wasn't a great ride on the tarmac.

I traveled the past two weekends. First time in 3 years. Naturally I got sick. Just how things roll with me. Getting over a nasty cold. I've taken a couple of Covid tests and they've been negative, so I guess I should be glad it's just a cold. I had planned on getting back to my 100 mile/week routine this week, but not with this cold. It'll have to wait another few days or a week.

12 mile standard ride. Having a bit of Indian summer here with temps in the 70s. Pretty windy but it didn't stop us. Lots of bike and pedestrian traffic on the trail. Good ride.

Yeah, it hit 80 here in IL today. We went walking down by the lake, but walking against that wind was tough. I can't imagine trying to ride against it.

Squeezed in a 5 mile round trip ride to a restaurant for dinner. Used a newly-opened paved trail. Nice ride on a nice evening. And good (Lebanese) dinner!

So copying over-

Just bought a Trek Fx2 and have been thoroughly enjoying it so far... did 12 miles yesterday, looking at 20 in the near future. Flat ground only and trying to stay off all streets.

18.5 miles today... i will say there is a huge difference once you start getting hills and any sort of inclines involved... it gets far harder.

Ya think?

I've been recovering from a nagging cold for a few weeks, but I finally got back on a bike today. Man, am I out of shape. 35 minutes and 7 miles was all I could do. It's super windy here today, so that didn't help. But I've got a ways to go before I'm back to riding an hour or so every day.

Wind sucks as well... i want 70F and no wind... if I have flat ground, I could go for miles... you'll get back into it.

I am aiming for 20 miles to make it from my home to downtown lol... however there are crappy sidewalks and inclines involved.

Rain every day so walking is the norm at the mo with my waterproof lightweight jacket and a Wenger small umbrella in case the heavens open up bad.

This coming weekend will be in the 30s/near 0C for a high temp. Not gonna do it!

I was all carb'd up from a pasta dinner, so I felt like a good 30 minute blitz on Fulgaz. This old heart can still rock steady.
