Z4 Undercarriage
Hello Community from Georgia/Tbilisi
I'm excited to join this amazing group and share my latest project with you all. I recently purchased a BMW Z4 E89 35is from a Copart auction. The Z4 I picked up does have some damage, I’ll be posting some photos of it soon so you can see what I'm working with. I’d love to get some insights from you all—especially those who have experience with this model or similar BMWs. What do you think about the damage I'm dealing with? What parts do you think I'll need to replace or repair? I know that after arriving I will know exactly what is wrong with the car underneath, but since getting parts is related to time, I want to know in advance. Also, a key question I have is about parts compatibility. I know that various BMW models share parts, and I'm wondering if undercarriage parts from other BMWs like the E90, E92, or E81 will fit the Z4 E89. In the best case I want to know if e92/e90 Control arm and z4 control arm is same. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated Looking forward to your thoughts and advice! |

The E90 and E89 front suspension design are similar..however there are no directly swappable parts..you can fit M3 control arms but they require adaption and geometry adjustment..
