Passenger Door pull handle cover
Has anyone had to replace the passenger door pull handle cover. Is this just a pry off cover, or do you have to remove the interior door panel. I ordered a new one, it came in but looks like it presses on. There is no screw holes, just clamping claw hooks. Thanks for your help. The original has become like a handle of goo.

It just snaps off/on. Look at the hooks on the back. One end should be a short wide 90 degree hook. The other end should be pretty straight out with a 'spring' arrowhead shape.
The 90 deg hook goes on first and the other end snaps in. To get the old one off you should use an interior trim pry tool. They're plastic to avoid scratching the trim. You can get a whole set from Amazon for about $10. They're worth every penny. Use the pry tool on the snap end to 'unhook' the press in snap - press it in from the direction of the arrowhead barb and then pry up. It should just pop off. Gerry

Thanks Gerry and all, I took my interior tool kit out to the car. I noticed a long open area along the side where the leather meets the plastic. I put in the pry bar 90 degree tool and levered off the old one. I then knew how the new part was to be installed. I tapped it in, it locked, so now all fixed. Thanks for your most helpful advice.
