Dang, I need to dig up the pics of 2 gixxers I had 4 years ago. Better yet, need to be able to get some new pics - buy a bike again already. Probably will need to take an MSF class again or go to Total Control Clinic or some other place. Worried that if I get a bike, my bimmer will have to sit.

Have owned over 30 street bikes from mild to wild since I got my license back in '86.
Have a K5 GSXR-1K with fully built turbo engine with a GT2870 240rwhp on pump@8psi and 300rwhp+ @13psi on C16. It's my daily, lot's of fun. Has never been beaten in a highway roll...

Also have an '00 Busa that my wife bought me as a wedding present brand new in '00. All original bodywork. Been through 5 different engine setups over the past 20 yrs. Currently has a built-to-the-hilt ex-Pro Street engine with a GT3582R turbo puts down 475rwhp at 21psi and over 550 at full kill. AMS-1000 boost controller off Co2,WEGO 3,all the goodies.

Recently sold my all time favorite; stock wheelbase '09 Busa I put together with a Carpenter Racing 1441cc engine,BST carbon fiber wheels, and lots of hidden shit to make it the ultimate 240rwhp 130ft/lb daily driver and weekend street racer. 9.0's@162mph on pump gas w my 220lb ass riding. Loved that bike, went to a good home though.

Also sold THE bike of my childhood dreams since I saw it on the cover of Cycle magazine in 1986: Suzuki RG500 Gamma. Never sold in USA. 2-stroke square 4 engine that I had custom Jolly-Moto expansion chambers,Katana 600 wheels,GSXR-750W brakes, etc. Also a gift from my wife as and engagement present back in '97. Wish I kept that fucker as they're rarer the hen's teeth

Then my L3 GSXR-1k,head/cams built for Sunday mountain runs. Made 194rwhp and was a blast.

The Cafe is awesome. Does well on the highway (80+ mph isn't unbearable), but you lose ALL ability to go off road. I often wish I had the Desert Sled, which is much more dirt bike than street bike. It's also taller, which is good for bigger riders. The CR is awesome though, 80 hp, 50 lb ft of torque, air cooled V-twin on a bike that weighs 400 lbs wet (I weighed it myself). I love it!

Pic of a DS (desert sled) just to show you what they look like.

Huh, oldixxer from gixxer.com forum? Never knew you were into bimmers. I guess that makes sense given that you like to turbo your bikes.

I've got two bikes: A 2012 H-D VRSCF Muscle (which is currently in storage at a buddy's house to make room in the garage for the M2C) and a 2015 BMW R1200GS.

Basically, the F is a bar/restaurant/around town bike and the GS is a SUV-- neither are remotely stock, as I can't leave anything with two or four wheels alone.

I took the GS on an 8500 mile road trip last summer-- CO-UT-ID-WY-WA-OR-NorCal-SoCal-NV-AZ-NM and back to CO. Of the 8500 miles, only about 200 were on interstates.

The bike was bought in Germany by a US serviceman through the Canadian military sales program. He brought it back to the States and since his wife was pregnant (again) he had to sell. I bought it from him, flew out to Tucson to pick it up and rode it home a few years back-- it only had 800 miles on it and had just gotten the Break-In service done.

It took eight hours to get it registered at the DMV (THAT was a fight) and three months to get BMW to move the VIN from the European system to the US system.

But, it's cool to have a "unicorn".

Planning a few more road trips this summer, but haven't come up with any good ideas yet.

All is well, but could be made better with a bike. GDC is a ghost town, what happened there?

Quite a lot of turmoil/animosity played out behind the scenes between me (Admin),the Mods and the owners(Vertical Scope). The owners would implement and take ad revenue from notorious clickbait sites and not bother to let us know. When we'd ban or delete those accounts and /or remove the clickbait,we ourselves would then have our staff permissions blocked by their IT guys(being spiteful),which caused all sorts of problems allowing literally dozens of spammers to infiltrate daily while we were unable to do anything;til their IT guys decided to give our Admin/Mod back. A lot of shady goings on and lack of communication that the members weren't aware of tended to spill over from behind closed doors into the forum too.

A lot of longtime Lifetime/Premium(IE-paying) members got frustrated by constantly being inundated by the clickbait/spam/pop-up's which as paying members was supposed to be eliminated. The other Admins (SVS,AnthonyD)got frustrated and left the forum. I hung on for another year trying to save the site but ultimately it consumed too much of my free time and caused too much stress. I gave the owners an ultimatum, they chose not to adhere,so I walked away after being an original founding member since 1998 without any farewells. Simply logged out around this time last year and have not been back since.

Last I heard, one of my SuperMods took over as Admin and was having the same issues as I was with the owners and said, exactly as you did, that the once mighty and largest single-brand forum known as Gixxer.com was a ghost town.

Lotta members still keep in contact w me via text/email so thats nice, and it's good to see a familiar face(ok,your screen-name lol) here as well.

Why no more scooters for ya??

Awesome bike.
I went the smaller route by getting the F650gs twin. I wanted the lighter weight, and the ability to run crappy fuel that the retuned 800 allowed.

Not a great picture, but you get the idea.
Modified heavier suspension, all the farkles.

A HUGE!!! regret of mine is not buying my buddys 999R when he listed it, he sold is for a song and now it's worth twice as much, came with full track parts as well. I'm actually trying to sell my track bike to get a 999S, i want something I can track and street, mine is a little to much track

I have a serious soft spot for the 999/749, absolutely beautiful bike

My "other" BMW. A 2015 R1200GS.

It's sort of a unicorn as it was imported to the US under the Canadian Military Sales Program with only 700 miles on the clock.

I can't leave anything with wheels alone, so it's farkled to hell and back.

I did an 8500 mile road trip (CO-UT-WY-ID-WA-OR-NorCal-SoCal-NV-AZ-NM-CO) on it last summer and she rode like a charm-- except for burning up tires and brakes (). Hoping to do the route again but backwards this summer, but not quite sure how that'll pan out with everything going on at the moment.
